Electroluminescent Displays
Electro-Luminescent (EL) technology is the new wafer thin, captivating light source that is causing a revolution in the way businesses market their branded message in targeting their audiences. The development of Electro-Luminescent (EL) is set to take over traditional back lit posters, not least because of environmental energy issues of other light source based products that are energy deficient, costly and bulky.
(Features & Benefits of Electroluminescence)
Electro-Luminescent lamps are devices that convert electrical energy into light or luminescence. This is achieved by applying AC voltage across electrodes. An organic phosphor with coloured overlays is sandwiched between two conductors and as the electric current is applied, it rapidly charges phosphor crystals, which emit visible light.
Electro-Luminescent is produced in the form of paper thin wire strips or panels and are able to be applied to almost any design. Electro-Luminescent benefits from being vibration and impact resistant, and has very low power consumption which makes it one of the most cost efficient light sources on earth. It typically consumes 75-90% less power than any other point light source.
(EL Applications Outdoor Advertising)
EL technology can bring animation and attention to any outdoor campaigns, from advertising on Billboards, Buses and Taxis, Bus Stops, even Fleet Livery and Vehicle Wrapping.
